Proper Grounding
I used to suggest grounding your battery and all of your loads to the chassis was the only ideal way to wire a van/RV. The major exception I have found is on 24v/12v systems when charging off an alternator is required. For systems that are using a 24v battery on a 12v system, meaning they are using a 24v/12v converter to power the 12v loads and they need a 12v inverter to charge the battery, through my experience, needs to separate the house grounds from the chassis. The reason is because in order to charge a 24v battery off a 12v alternator requires a CVCC boost converter which, through my experience, will not work when your alternator ground is shared with your house ground.
When keeping grounds separate from chassis a fuse box such as the following is a great way to keep grounds clean. I also recommend using paired wire where the positive and negative wire is either connected together or is bundled inside another wire casing.
