Propex HS2000 Programmable Thermostat Hack

In no way is this validated by Propex and hacking your Propex furnace is at your full discretion. That said I just want to share with you what has worked for me.

I love my Propex furnace but I always wanted a timer so that at 5am it turns on and by the time I wake up, my van is toasty without having to run it all night. It is not a very complicated circuit, 12 volts is simply thrown back on blue when the thermostat closes demanding heat from the furnace. Adding any kind of interruption on dark blue stops heat from being turned on, this interruption can be in any form of a switch. A simple 12v timer switch can easily be found at your local amazon. 1.) Disconnect power from Propex furnace.

2.) Cut dark blue wire on furnace side of connector, splice in two wires and run them to “switch” on timer.

3.) Run 12v fused power supply to power on timer.
